Frank Leach Competition for Bill Pinney Shield - theme for 2026 was ‘Anything that Lives under/in the Sea ‘. The winner was Craig Williams with his carving '”Knot Your Average Reef”. For 2027 Craig has chosen the theme “Musical Instruments” with the additional caveat of it has to be (or have been) an instrument that is made of wood (or has wood in its construction) – so no Trumpets or Trombones. A restriction is the carving size must be no larger that 200mm x 200mm x 200mm (8” x 8” x 8”).
