In 2024, the Guild was approached by The Friends of St Hubert’s Church, Idsworth to carve a Nativity set for the Church. The carvings were funded by a lottery grant.
The carvings could be in only wood and styled on Henry Moore and Giacometti. The woods included Lime, Holly, Yew, Mahogany and Mahonia.
The carvers were George Palmer, Jess Jay , Barry Williams, Alwyn Brace, Craig Williams, Brian Mill and Jean Cripps.
The carvings are displayed in the Church during the Christmas period.
